Workwear Works Provides to Salvation Army 15 Custom Aprons

To support the invaluable work of the Colchester Salvation Army, Workwear Works proudly donates 15 custom embroidered aprons. This contribution is part of our ongoing commitment to Salvation Army donations, ensuring their staff has the necessary tools to serve the community effectively.

Juliana Chodorovic founder of Julianas Custom Designs – now is re branded as Workwear Works, made the aprons as a gift in appreciation for the organisation’s efforts in building stronger communities. “I am happy to provide this small contribution to an organisation that gives back so much to others,” shares Juliana. “All of the volunteers here work hard to help those who are unable to help themselves or simply need a stepping stone to improve their lives. I could think of no better cause to receive these gifts.”

Founded in 1865 in London, the Salvation Army is an international Christian church and charity organization. It operates in more than 128 countries around the world, including multiple locations in the UK, providing a range of social services to people in need. The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs without discrimination.

Salvation Army volunteers will wear the aprons while working in the center supporting customers, stocking shelves, and combing through donations. Because the store thrives mostly on second-hand items from generous donors, the items in their warehouses arrive in varying conditions. Many of the items may have been stored in other warehouses, lofts, cellars, or storage facilities prior to making their way to the donation center. The aprons will provide workers with an extra layer of protection, particularly as they sort through donated items, as well as help to create a sense of team unity

The donation of 15 aprons is just the beginning of Juliana’s generosity. “This is an organization that is very near and dear to my heart, and I want to continue to make an impact with them. All Salvation Armies in the UK will receive a 50% discount on embroidery services, helping them to acquire much-needed uniforms for workers and volunteers while freeing up more of their budget to put toward community efforts.

Juliana donates to the organization each year and looks forward to working with the Colchester branch and other UK locations when the need for new uniforms or aprons arises.
